Can you explain what has happened?
One of the external logistics companies that we work with has informed us that an unauthorised third party gained access to some of its systems.
For a limited period, the incident affected deliveries from one of the distribution centers we use causing longer delivery times to some orders. The external logistics company has confirmed that its operation has been resolved and that it has taken measures to ensure the security of its systems.
Several other companies across Europe experienced similar, temporary delays to their orders, as they work with the same logistics company, CEVA Logistics.
Were your own systems affected by the incident?
No. Our own systems were never affected and continued to operate as normal.
The delays were caused by the incident at one of the logistics companies we work with.
Has personal data been affected by the incident?
The external logistics company has informed us that data relating to our customers may be affected by the incident.
However, this has not been confirmed, and investigations remain ongoing. We do not yet know which specific information may be involved.
Customers whom we assess may potentially be affected by the incident have been contacted directly.
Which data could be affected?
Any affected data would be limited to information necessary for the external logistics company to deliver the order, such as name, contact details, delivery address and information about the ordered products.
Payment card information and passwords are not shared with the external logistics company and cannot be affected.
What should I be aware of?
If customer data was accessed, it could potentially be used for phishing attempts.
As a general precaution in situations like this, it is recommended to be extra cautious when receiving unexpected emails, text messages or phone calls and to only share personal information if you are confident about the identity of the sender.
Is it still safe to shop with you?
Yes. Our own systems were never affected and continue to operate as normal.
